Maintaining a blog is not easy (but i guess i dont need to tell you that).
I just checked my blog history and realized that i did not post a single blog (or blog a single post - don't know if its ok to say it both ways) in the last 5-6 months. So this is the usual catch-up post for your reference.
Lets see what happened since last august....
I came back to India coz my US visa extension got denied (Oh-bama ki jai ho....!!!).
Quite a few people were disappointed by that. Well, you can't do much when it comes to decisions that weren't made by you and can't be changed by you. Sooner or later, they will get over the disappointment - if they haven't already. :P
Adjusting to a life back in India wasn't easy but Megha n Anvi made it look like a walk in the park.
Anvi celebrated her 2nd bday which was a small in-house party. The thinking was that since she is still 2, she won't remember a lavish bday party and we had our hands full with moving back into our home. So we pushed that to next year. Everyone who did not get an invite, don't fret....Anvi's 3rd bday will be on your to-attend list.
Anvi finished her 1st quater in preschool. Her teachers say she is a live-wire and were not happy when Anvi skipped school. Megha finished her 2 quarters in India. She's doing a superb job keeping it together. Now the focus is on Anvi's Nursery Admissions this December. That's like a mini-project.
Personal to-do note # 245129 -> I should start a separate blog about Anvi's admission. Its like a whole new world when you go out and expect that giving your child the best education would be easy.
I'm still trying to wind-up on my current project at work. Its been a roller-coaster since I came back and had to work US shifts for 4 months. That too away a lot of my personal time. Now getting back to a normal routine. Personal to-do note # 245130-> I should start a separate blog about work. Its like the Chinese proverb - my you live in interesting times.
So here's a summary of the highlights from the missing months.....
a) August 2011 - Time to go Back to India
b) Sept 2011 - Back to India and dealing with the change
c) Oct 2011 - Anvi's 2nd bday, attended the F1 race and experienced Metallica's let down.
d) Nov 2011 - Got our home re-painted and Moved in, Megha's bday, attended Nandu's bday
e) Dec 2011 - Attended mayur's wedding, New Year Party, Hyd visit to Vichare's
f) Jan 2012 - Anvi's preschool (playgroup)
g) Feb 2012 - New car
h) March 2012 - Mayi's engagement, Jay & Anjali's visit to Pune, Nidhu's bday, ipl, my 1st lecture at Modern college.
i) April 2012 - Trip to Kolthare and a life changing event (wish I could blog about that).
ps. I might have missed a few events but by and large - this was it.
So we are now moving into May 2012 and 2nd phase of ipl 5. I'll be completing 9 years in IBM on the 5th. That's quite a milestone and a real good time to access myself. more saval javab time. no space for lambi khamoshi. See you at the other side of the fence. I hope its greener there.
