the first 11....
i was supposed to keep a daily note of what happened since our baby was born...since i did not do tht - here's a recap of the last 11 days...
hopefully i'll do better with time.
day 1: since it was a planned delivery, time in the waiting room went well. i was relaxed coz megha was in the care of dr.k.a.rao. when the nurse told me it a girl...i was extremely happy coz megha wanted a baby girl. when i saw the baby for the 1st time - the first thing tht came to my mind was "she's absoluty beautiful'. the only question reminded - hows the mom? and when can i see her? after an hour's wait - i was able to hold the baby n took her directly to see her mommy. both baby n mommy were fine. baby weighed 5.5lbs n was 47cms at birth.
the rest of the day went in anxious moments over feedin her milk n trying to switch frmm gw to a priv room.
day 2 to day 5:
went pretty well thanks to aaji n maa. they took good care of megha n the baby. i too was present in the hospital along with them. frm feeds to baths to sleeping session - it was fun. we got discharge at around 6.30pm and went home.
home coming was great coz everyone was excited to see the baby and the house was decorated for the occassion.
day 6 to day 11:
went extremely well with both parents getting used to baby's routine (We still r trying to get a hang of it). both parents get overwhelmed with joy when the see the baby. she brings a simle to our face. duringt his time we also took baby out for her visit to the ped to give her the hepb1 injection & her routine check-up. doc says baby is doign extremly well.
we also took pics of baby and sent hem to friends n family as part of the big annoucement.
day 12:
hve baby's pre-naming ceremony today in the afternoon. finalized baby's 5 names (which was a task in itself). her first name will be anvi. i'll be rushing home soon so i can attend it. wont miss it for anything in the entire world. its also diwali tmrw (so will go shopping this evening to get baby n mommy sme new clothes n other stuff).
